Since long before we ended up in this place, if that gives you a timeframe. Though perhaps not context just yet; I imagine you'll need quite a few more memories for that.
[ but in a way, wasn't it a sort of kindness to wait for her to figure out what she wanted as a fresh amnesiac? He was a good person--and a good friend. She reached out to hold his hand. ]
We should get going, otherwise some animals might eat all our food.
[ He makes sure he has a solid hold on her -- one arm around her waist, the other hand wrapped with hers -- and launches them into the sky, headed east. ]
[ She relaxes in his hold and allows herself to enjoy the feeling of the wind as they fly along. It's a nice, cool, contrast to the still-warm evening air--as well as the warmth of his hand, and his body, which she's much more aware of now. ]
[ It's a long flight. The bay winks into view and grows, until they descend upon a hill that perfectly overlooks the water. A small shrine sits tucked behind a modest rock wall, a sprawl of stairs leading the way back down the hill to the streets below.
Venti lands them within the shrine's grounds, where a picnic has been set up with all of Lumine's favorite dishes that he could remember -- from several regions, not just Mondstadt. It's all spread on a comfortable assortment of blankets, with cushions and lanterns scattered about for extra comfort. There's even an unopened bottle of dandelion wine. ]
[ She is momentarily stunned. She wasn't sure what she was expecting--their first picnic had been fun and relaxed but beautiful and it had been hard to imagine how it was going to be outdone. But Venti had managed to exceed her expectations and then some. ]
This is gorgeous.
[ She hasn't even taken in the food just yet--though she'll undoubtedly get to it--but as they settle to the ground she takes it all in: the reflection of the moon is bright across the water, the warm lantern lights creating a cozy atmosphere, the soft looking blankets and cushions spread out and waiting for them next to the old wood structure standing nearby....
It was incredibly charming and thoughtful. Romantic, even. ]
[ Not even gruesome zombie shenanigans can make Lumine give up meat permanently. She slices herself a piece of the bird off, getting a better scent of the singular dish as she does so. ]
[ She takes a bite and waits until she gets through it before giving her official assessment, but it's pretty clear from the look on her face how she feels. ]
It's so good!
[ Juicy, tender, and a mix of savory and sweet. Perfect! ]

I spotted this place from the air one day and decided to take a peek. I'm really glad I did.

[ She catches a whiff of all the food waiting for them and her stomach growls. ]
It looks like you really didn't spare anything with the spread, either.

You'll have to tell me if they still hold up. Who knows? Maybe your tastes have changed.

[ She settles down on a cushion next to him and eyes the spread in front of her with eager eyes. ]
I'm not sure what to start with first. Do you like meat, or are you more of a vegetarian?

It's good to see your tastes haven't changed much.
