Well... while Paimon and I were observing the member of the Qixing conducting the ascension ceremony's rites.. the geo archon's dragon body dropped out of the sky. She declared him dead and had the Millelith seal off the area to look for the perpetrators. Seeing as we were the only foreigners present at the time and, uhm, I may have gotten spooked and tried to sneak out... we got turned into the "prime suspects" and had to be rescued by one of the Fatui Harbingers.
[ You know. Your favorite people. Also, hers; do you know how embarrassing it is to have to admit that you were rescued and sort-of-duped by your defacto enemies? ]
... Who then of course turned around and sent us off to "help," aka spy, on the funeral parlor employee in charge of arranging for the service so he could try to get his hands on the archon's gnosis. Of course, as it should happen, said funerary consultant was well aware of what was going on the whole time and was using the Harbinger as his wallet to conduct the purchases and myself as the delivery girl and just-so-happened to be prepared for the inevitable burglary at the Golden Pavillion where the archon's body was being stored. Of course, he didn't bother to let me know that until after I'd gone there to stop his "friend" and I was wrongfully blamed for having stolen the item and subsequently had to defend myself against an angry Harbinger equipped with a vision and a delusion.
Then come to find out after the whole thing was over he'd already bargained to willingly give the damn thing over to Signora. Which he did, in front of both myself and the Harbinger who thinks battles-to-the-death are play dates.
[ ... Okay. She mmiiiiight still be a little salty about it. ]
